Summer Camp Report – Don Bosco Navajeevan, Warangal (2nd May – 12th June 2025)

The “Rise & Shine” summer camp at Don Bosco Navajeevan, Warangal, brought together 112 children (72 in Camp 1 and 40 in Camp 2) for a six-week journey of learning and growth. Held from 2nd May to 12th June, the camp provided a blend of academic support, creative arts, life skills, and recreational activities.

Children engaged in Basic English, Math Made Easy, and General Knowledge through interactive sessions. Weekly tests helped track progress. Adolescents benefited from a Typewriting and Computer Literacy program aimed at vocational readiness.

Creative expression was encouraged through drawing, dance, rocket-making, puzzles, and mask-making. Leadership, hygiene, nutrition, and communication sessions fostered confidence and values. A highlight was the Treasure Hunt on 29th May, promoting teamwork and fun.

A picnic to Warangal Zoo on 6th June offered learning beyond the classroom. Despite challenges like irregular attendance, staff ensured participation through flexible planning and group support.

The camp ended with a Talent Show and parent gathering, celebrating the children's progress. Overall, the camp fostered academic, emotional, and social development. Future camps aim to introduce more thematic learning, field trips, and skill-building workshops.
