International Day Against Child Labour

On the occasion of the International Day Against Child Labour, a special event was organized by Don Bosco Navajeevan at the Bank Colony Slum in Warangal city.
As part of the program, parents of children who had been rescued from child labour were honored and felicitated. The chief guest, Sri R. Suresh, Member of the State Legal Services Authority, spoke about the rights of child labourers and the legal frameworks for their protection. Special guests included Sri Akulapelli Madhu, a member of the Child Welfare Committee, Anganwadi teachers, and Fr. Koshy, Director of Don Bosco Navajeevan. The organization’s staff and volunteers actively participated in the event.

A rally was conducted with the children, which drew public attention and spread awareness across the community. Slogans like “No to Child Labour, Education is Our Right” and “Every Child’s Life is Priceless” echoed throughout the streets. Children also performed artistic and thematic presentations to convey powerful messages.
The event aimed to raise public awareness about the issue of child labour and to inspire collective responsibility in protecting and upholding the rights of every child.
